Easy DIY home hacks

June 27, 2022by Qayyum Ibrahim1

It may seem as though you will never finish cleaning and organizing your house and will instead spend the rest of your life trying. But it doesn’t imply you should neglect the tasks you’re eager to complete because you don’t have much time. There is an efficient approach to complete all of those jobs while saving yourself time, whether you want to quickly get your home pristine or simply want to give it more aesthetic appeal. Below are some DIY home hacks:

REMOVE CANDLE WAX FROM FURNITURE WITH ICE CUBES

Never attempt to remove candle wax off furniture by scraping at it because you run the risk of damaging the finish. Instead, place ice cubes in a plastic bag and place it over the wax. Allow it to sit for a few minutes. You may pick up the wax without damaging the finish or fabric of your furniture once it has adequately cooled and solidified.

USE HAIR DRYER TO GET CRAYON MARKS OFF THE WALL

There is still hope if your children enjoy using your white walls as their own personal crayon canvas. Simply use a hairdryer to briefly warm the affected area of the wall in order to dissolve the crayon’s wax, and then use a soft cloth to wipe away any stains.

USE COOKING OIL TO GET RID OF STICKY LABEL RESIDUE

Anyone who has ever taken a label off of a jar understands how annoying it can be when the area is still extremely sticky. Thankfully, cooking oil makes getting rid of that residue as simple as pie. Rub the sticky area with a cotton pad and some cooking oil, then let it sit for a while. Once the oil has penetrated, it will be simple to wipe away.

USE VINEGAR TO GET ODORS OUT OF YOUR MICROWAVE

There is an easy technique to clean and deodorize your microwave without using harsh chemicals if it smells less than fresh.

Just microwave a dish of vinegar for about five minutes, then clean everything down afterward.

GET PET FUR OFF FURNITURE WITH A SQUEEGEE

Even if you adore your pets, it’s likely that you don’t enjoy sitting on fabric-upholstered furniture every time they shed. Use a squeegee to remove all that extra hair instead of wasting endless money on lint rollers that scarcely take up anything; it will come off with ease in one pass!

WRAP A RUBBER BAND ON THE NECK OF A SOAP DISPENSER TO PREVENT OVERUSE

This tip will help you save a ton of money if you have young children who believe that every hand washing should involve a cup of soap. You may get the right amount of soap with each pump and avoid using up an entire bottle of soap each week by wrapping a rubber band around the neck of a soap dispenser.

DRILL A HOLE IN THE BOTTOM OF YOUR TRASH CAN TO KEEP BAGS FROM STICKING

Few things are more annoying than attempting to remove a waste bag from the trash can only to discover that it is clinging on for dear life. Thankfully, removing the vacuum-like seal that frequently causes the bags to stay only requires drilling a little hole in the bottom of your garbage can.

PUT DOWN MASKING TAPE BEFORE NAILING INTO PLASTER WALLS

Even while plaster walls are more soundproof than drywall, they can still be problematic, especially if you want to put something on them. But the problem can be resolved with just a little tape.

You’ll wonder, “Where have these been my entire life?” after reading this list. Because they truly are incredible. These little-known practices will improve your life in a variety of ways, including the way you clean your home.
