The 07” set of mayflower school Ikenne Ogun state ( Ex May) organized the maiden edition of its spelling bee competition during the 66th anniversary of the school which was sponsored by Novarick Homes and Properties Limited.
The MD of Novarick Homes Noah Ibrahim, who was an ex-student (07” set) of the school, expressed how much he believes in educating the child and encouraging them too, he believes education is the most empowering force in the world. “ it creates knowledge, builds confidence, and creates room for opportunities.
The spelling bee competition consisted of two categories, the senior and junior categories with over 70 students who registered and participated.
The senior category winner of the competition, Christain Elvis Ifeanyichukwu, who is currently an SS3 student at Mayflower school, won a plot of land at The RIDGEWOOD Lagos, Ketu, Epe, one of Novarick Homes landed properties, N 50,000(fifty thousand naira) cash price and a fully-funded scholarship to study English at the University of Lagos (UNILAG).
The junior category winner Queen Elizabeth Adebanjo, a JSS2 student at Mayflower school also won a plot of land at The RIDGEWOOD Lagos, Ketu, Epe, and N 50,000(fifty-thousand naira) cash price.
As promised their Deed of Gift for their lands was presented on the 23rd day of May 2022, with their guardians present.
Going further, to reward their exceptional performance at the spelling bee competition, Novarick Homes decided to make their newest and youngest landlords ambassadors, also as a means to encourage parents to do the same for their children, as the MD of Novarick Homes stated “ investing in the future of children, is as important as securing an education for them.
The kids were also encouraged by the MD, to continue to be exceptional in their studies, and that being ambassadors is not an avenue to derail from their studies, from which they were made ambassadors in the first place.
